Handbag hook or handbag hanger?
Is it a Handbag Hanger, Handbag Hook or Purse hanger?
A Handbag hook can be referred to using so many different names! How do you know what you are buying?
Well, actually they are all one and the same. A Handbag hanger or handbag hook is the most common name used within the UK. In the UK a "handbag" is a bag often fashionably designed, typically used by women, and is used to hold items such as wallet, keys, mobile phone, tissues etc. A "purse" is generally a smaller receptacle for just holding your cash and cards. Hence the name "Handbag Hanger or Handbag Hook"
In the USA and some other parts of the world. The name "Purse" is used for both the larger bag and the smaller cash carrier! So in the USA the Handbag hook is often referred to as a "Purse Hanger" or "Purse Hook"
So, actually they are all the same. The hangers differentiate only slightly in size and strength and of course come in many different designs.
